In December of 2020, I was utterly bored with my traditional big-box gym. I’d hit a wall. I needed a change. So, I decided to join a small high-intensity fitness gym. Stepping inside, the energy was unlike anything I’d ever seen at a gym. Something else grabbed my attention: people were drinking black coffee before their workouts. There weren’t any neon-colored pre-workout mixes or sugar-bomb energy drinks in sight. People were drinking plain black coffee they had brought from home. Curious, I asked about it, and the response was unanimous: “It’s the best pre-workout. Period.”
When I finally tried it, I loved the steady energy and focus a single cup of black coffee gave me. It was the right kind of kickstart my body needed without the typical jitters and crash I would get from a pre-workout supplement. As summer heated up, I switched from hot coffee to my wife’s homemade cold brew coffee, and Leg Up Cold Brew was born. Since then, my team and I have devoted ourselves to bringing Leg Up Cold Brew to athletes everywhere.
